Bindlestiff Studio Premieres 6 New SF Stories of Mystery,
Love, & Loss
A man who has committed suicide finds himself in an interrogation room with supposedly divine agents, and an aging virgin and cafe owner struggles to find a love that goes deeper than her eczema. A private eye continues an investigation into a magical doll and a murdered girlfriend, while a collection of 20-something activists battle their own ennui and self-loathing. Two friends catching up with tequila shots are reminded of a shared bond, and an unsuspecting derailed actor finds herself at the center of a bizarre crime. Bindlestiff Studio presents 6 Stories High, a production premiering six new San Francisco stories from emerging Bay Area voices Ed Mabasa, Lisa Macabasco, Conrad Panganiban, Chuck Lacson, Ali Wong, and Anton Delfino. The Stories High 2005 production represents the culmination of months of free writing, acting, and directing workshops led by Bindlestiff artists. Featuring first-time as well as veteran actors, writers, and directors in six gripping, hilarious, and startling pieces, Stories High promises to captivate its audience with tales of mystery, love, and loss.
