I was texting my friend and we’ve been discussing people whom are in their late 30s-early 40s AND single. It’s not enough that we, yes, I’m including myself, and yes, it hurts to a degree, are without a partner in crime, you say love, i say crime, have that stigma. Well, instead of dwelling on that stuff, I’m gonna write a play about it!
Synopsis
It takes place in an office where the main service is to make up a spouse for a person whose family/friends/co-workers nag (harass) them about still being single. The company is an online service that is really good at making people up. It’s easy to create an online identity for someone especially if the person says that they met each other online and live in another state… or another country. Plus, not only is it an online person, this character can be created, and an actor can be hired to speak on the phone to ward off people who don’t believe them. The service will not include marriages because that would be harder to cover up, but if someone needs a made up person just to get people off their backs and shut them up temporarily, maybe this service has a shot of sustainability.
No title as of yet, but it’ll come. Plus, I need to get my creative juices juicing again. Plus plus, this could finally be the comedy that my writer side needs to get recharged.
