I really could put this in the lessons category, but that kinda goes without saying. I won’t go into specifics because, well, it’s a universal character trait: being a dick.
It’s that person who gives you grief in a sarcastic tone even after you’ve been nice to her or him. Such a douchey move. In their world, you have done them wrong. In their world, because you don’t acknowledged their presence as often as they think of themselves in their world, you should suffer for it by publicly ridiculing you for it for being such a good friend. For talking down your intellect. For taking shots at your time management skills by not thinking of them and their world every second of your day. Dick!
Well, that felt good. Part of my fascination with writing is that in this realm of creating the fictional world of a play I write, is to reflect how I see the world… And those people who I see living in that realm. This DICK character lives there. And let me stress, CHARACTER! This characteristic of a human just gets more pronounced because of his actions and words.
So in the end all of all ends, Thank you for being a dick. For without you being so, I wouldn’t have gotten to really see that side of you for me to use as a real character. You’re a good and talented person, but the other side of the coin makes you real. A real dick!
