The Script: Leaving Christmas Past
While JEFF wonders why some people keep their Christmas lights up in July, JORDAN wishes that the memories of Christmas would just stay in the past.
Process:
Terrible. The process of finding new plays to write ever day is starting to get a little difficult. I think I wrote down 3 different premises I wanted to write about, but none of them panned out. I started writing this at around 7pm and finished at around 10:30pm. Ashamed that it’s only 5 pages, but I actually liked the heart of it. If anything, it’s a good beginning.
Lessons:
But the thing with these lessons is to learn to keep these lessons in a box until AFTER I’m done with having written 31 plays. It’s funny because the lesson I wrote yesterday, or was it the other day, of needing to have a true inspiring subject to write about, doesn’t really work too well when I’m trying to crank out play after play because I THINK so much about trying to satisfy my goals.
Therefore, eff it 🙂 Need to start focusing on fun again and all the hard stuff will go into the plays when I can truly devote the time into them… but that’s not what these plays and exercise is supposed to be about. Have fun. Write. Be what I’m meant to be doing!
