ABOUT US
Our 32nd Season will revolve around the theme, “Community Healing, Dismantling Hate, & Building Safer Communities.” With the two main productions of Daryo’s All-American Diner (stop Asian-Hate) and Panther in the Sky (gun violence), educational programming including Wellness through Asian American Narratives (WAANT) & TEAACH Act Reader’s Theatre Project, to community partnerships and Monthly Beat Series, featuring a kick-off with a Fil-Am Comedy Jam, we are being intentional to continue our work and mission with education, organizing, mobilizing, advocating through community theatre by producing timely and relevant creative works to reflect and inform a Filipinx, AAPI, and Immigrant American cultural perspective.
CHICAGO-based Circa Pintig has an over 30 year legacy is a theater and education organization that engages communities through self-expression and artistic endeavor to challenge injustice and enact social change. Celebrating the rich culture and history of Filipinos in America. It is the only Filipino American Theatre Company in the Midwest and one of the most enduring in the country. Born out of the protest of the Marcos regime in the 1980s, Circa Pintig has evolved into a powerful voice of the community that reaches into the largely forgotten and untold narrative of the Filipino American and the Filipino Diasporan representing the second-most populous Asian American group in the U.S.
